Would require body mass index be assessed in all pupils in grades one, 4, 7, and 10 who have not opted out for religious reasons. This bill is a request of the commission on the prevention of childhood obesity established by 2008, 219.

An Act Limiting The Use Of Child Restraint Practices In Schools And Treatment Facilities

Would restrict the use of restraint practices in schools and treatment facilities and establishes certain reporting requirements regarding the use of such practices.

An Act Relative To Health Insurance Open Enrollment Periods And Establishing A Commission Relative To Children's Health Insurance

Would establish a commission relative to children's health insurance. The bill also extends the mandatory open enrollment period for employer-sponsored health insurance plans following termination of coverage under a public or private plan.

An Act Establishing The New Hampshire Health Services Cost Review Commission And Continually Appropriating A Special Fund.

S-505 Would establish the New Hampshire health care services cost review commission and an assessment on certain hospitals to fund the operation of the commission.

An Act Allowing Primary Care Providers To Provide Preventive Oral Health Services To Children Between 0 And 3 Years Of Age Under The State Medicaid Program

HB-1537 Would direct the department of health and human services to seek funding for a children's oral health initiative that would enable primary care providers to deliver preventive oral health services to children between 0 and 3 years of age under Medicaid.

An Act Requiring Public Hearings Concerning Health Care Cost Increases In Health Care Services And Relative Hospital Billing For Services To Uninsured Patients

SB-392 Would require the insurance commissioner to hold an annual public hearing to identify and quantify the factors contributing to cost increases in health care services in New Hampshire. Hospitals would also be required to accept as payment an amount no greater than the average amount received by that hospital from patients covered by health maintenance organizations.
