Priority Areas

The New England Alliance for Children’s Health supports public policies at the state and federal levels that promote access to high-quality health care for all children. The focus of our work includes three priority areas. They are:

  1. Federal: Enabling effective advocacy to support CHIP implementation efforts and protect Medicaid.
  2. State: Supporting state level efforts to defend and advance health care coverage for children.
  3. Pediatric Quality of Care: Accelerating efforts that are underway so that New England becomes a national leader and model in pediatric care quality improvement.
  4. Business Outreach: Engaging business partners in our children’s health care advocacy work.

Our regional coalition allows us to facilitate the flow of information and insights on both policy and strategy across state lines; realize economies of scale in communications efforts and policy formation; and support well-orchestrated advocacy efforts. This coordinated approach has also attracted national interest in our multi-disciplinary, regional effort.
